Dread Forest is a relatively large forest east of House Styrke.
The trees are so thick in most places that no sunlight penetrates. However, their is a worn trail through which the trees are thin enough for light to filter through the trees. This is the most commonly used route through, but it is also the most-guarded by Ogros.

Dread Forest has a natural predator, prey and plant ecosystem. Most noticeable are the Ogros, sapient brutes that are apex hunters in the forest and will kill intruders. The top predators below them are Hyaeners.
