Allegedly, Balthos incites races to war and encourages them to fight as hard as they can. By instilling courage in one side and cowardice in the other, he decides to an extent on the victor.
Warriors pray to him for strength and bravery.
Balthos is meant to appear as a well-built, tall warrior, wearing gold and red armour and yelling blood-curdling cries. He bears the shield of valour and the halberd of might.
Statues of him are made of bronze.
